Kamikazee Goes Romantico

Pinoy rock band Kamikazee consisting of Jay Contreras, Jomal Linao, Led Tuyay, Puto Astete and Bords Burdeos has launched their newest album titled “Romantico” last October 14, at the Tanduay Rhum Rockfest that will be held in SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, Pasay City.

According to Jay,

“Kaya ‘Romantico’ yung title ng album, sinubukan naming love song lahat ng mga kanta du’n.”

 This, to which drummer Allan Burdeos said

“Compared to our last album, hindi na siya ganung kaingay. We designed the album to be easy to sing along to. Pero hindi naman pop masyado.”

Love Rock is the theme of the album brought by Tanduay, one of Kamikazee's Major Sponsor. So ROMANTICO that Bordz himself decide to propose to her fiance on the album lunching, on stage, with the band. A first in pinoy history. Watch the video of the proposal.



Going back to the album and launching, the whole band, Kamikazee, wore a “Guns n’ Roses” inspired ensemble as they launched their new album. As their set ensued, copies of the album were bein’ literally thrown to the multitude. The rock gods were generous that night. They left kisses and smile on their fans faces. Doing comic jokes on stage and autograph signing after.

The album not yet 2 months on air and online but they already got an award on STARTriga on their OPM Award (Online Pinoy Music Awards 2011) as Best Hip-Hop/Rock Album of the Year. And the carrier single is topping various chart list including MYX.


The album consist of eight (8) lovely track. Heart pumping and head banging songs. One of which is "Halik". The song is about a love story which was ended and missed. Watch the video below, which was release by Universal Records Philippines via YouTube.

Punk Goes Pop 4 is the upcoming twelfth compilation album in the Punk Goes... series. It is scheduled to be released on November 21, 2011 through Fearless Records. It is the fourth album in the Punk Goes Pop series. It contains a collection of modern pop music covers performed by various metalcore, post-hardcore and electronicore bands and artists. On September 22, 2011, MTV Buzzworthy announced the album's full track list.

Today's greatest artist in punk, post-rock, punk-rock, elctronic and semi-core band gathered together for this project. Bands, namely Pierce The Veil, Tonight Alive, Woe, Is Me, The Ready Set, Sleeping With Sirens, Go Radio, For All Those Sleeping, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, A Skylit Drive, Allstar Weekend, I See Stars, Silverstein, and The Downtown Fiction, revealed there pop-side and covered hits of the Pop World today.

The song on the trailer/pre-order is the "Just The Way You Are" version of Pierce The Veil which is a original of the half-pinoy artist Bruno Mars. Me as a fan of Post-Core Bands, Pierce The Veil is one of the best i tell you, but i was personally shocked when i hear this version. It was great! I know PTV covers pop songs but disco type like "Like A G6" by Far Eastern Movement, but a slow song like this? this is good and they really deserve to be the opening song of the album.



Some of the Artist incorporate there own still to make the song more colorful for the Punk-Rock listeners like Woe, Is Me's Last Friday Night, A Skylit Drive's Love The Way You Lie and Sleeping With Sirens's F**k You. Woe, is Me is great on this covers remember their version of Ke$ha's Tik Tok, maybe that's why they are cool with pop covers. Mean while Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens diud a great job for Cee Lo Green's F**k You! New Album Radiosurgery from New Found Glory

Radiosurgery is the seventh studio album by American rock band New Found Glory. It is scheduled for release on October 4, 2011 through independent label Epitaph Records. To follow up Not Without a Fight (2009), the band began writing new material during their stint on the 2010 Honda Civic Tour. After self-producing a set of demos and contacting long-term record producer Neal Avron, the quintet went on to record the album in Avron's home recording studio over a period of three months in 2011. The band set out to write an album that paid homage to classic punk rock records that first inspired them to form a band during the 1990s. Listening extensively to the likes of early Green Day, Ramones, and Rancid, New Found Glory strove to create a sound that could "bridge the gap" between old and new generations of the genre.



The album title is a metaphor, referencing the actual medical procedure radiosurgery. The lyrics were directly inspired by events in the bands personal lives, after one member suffered a long-term relationship breakup. The album was written about the different stages an individual goes through after the separation, including feelings of regret, sadness, insanity and events such as one night stands. The band looked up several brain surgeries, later settling on Radiosurgery, using the idea that instead of using the procedure to remove a tumor from the brain, you could remove memories. The first official single from the album was title track "Radiosurgery", released on August 2.

Batman: Arkham City – The Album Featuring Deranged by Coheed and Cambria

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment in conjunction with WaterTower Music have recently announced Batman: Arkham City – The Album, featuring 12 new tracks by artists such as Serj Tankian, Panic! Sponge Cola is on the go with Araw Oras Tagpuan

One of today's hottest bands Sponge Cola releases its much awaited and highly anticipated 4th full-length, studio album under Universal Records titled "Araw Oras Tagpuan." It should be noted that this is Sponge Cola’s first full-length album since it released its self-titled CD in 2008. The band made up of Yael Yuzon (vocals-guitar), Gosh Dilay(bass), Erwin Armovit (lead guitar) and Ted Mark Cruz(drums) on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.

Yael Yuzon, band's frontman, said in a press conference.

Yuzon said that their album showed their honesty when it comes to music.

"Araw Oras Tagpuan" is band's first CD with their new drummer Tedmark Cruz.



"Araw Oras Tagpuan" contains 12 tracks including songs from the band’s “Tambay” mini-album released early this year via Coca-Cola’s summer promo. Some of the songs included in “Araw Oras Tagpuan” are “Tambay” – an original song written by the band’s front-man Yael Yuzon – which scorched the charts on MYX and various radio stations ,and was the only OPM song on Magic 89.9’s countdown for several weeks; “Regal” which is the CD’s current carrier single; “Walang Wakas” which was also the theme song of ABS-CBN’s series Wansapanatym: Rod Santiago’s Buhawi Jack starring Gerald Anderson; an upcoming single titled “Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay”; “Araw Oras Tagpuan”; “Warning” which features new drummer Ted Mark Cruz on vocals; and “New Steel” featuring Salamin vocalist Paolo Valenciano, Ria Redulla, and Los Magno of Out of Body Special.

Majority of the songs in "Araw Oras Tagpuan" are written by Yael Yuzon and it should be noted that this is the band’s first full-length studio recording with new drummer Ted Mark Cruz. "Araw Oras Tagpuan" is an innovative album that blends fresh ideas by incorporating piano as performed by Yael Yuzon, drum loops, and synths while retaining the trademark sound of Sponge Cola which endeared the band to its loyal fans and music aficionados as well!

"Araw Oras Tagpuan" will be released in all leading record bars nationwide this September.

Am i The Enemy by The RJA

Am i The Enemy a new and the third full length album of the pop alternative hardcore rock band called The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. This record will be released on the 30th of August this year 2011, with the help of Collective Sounds, the new Recording Label from The Collective, a full-service entertainment management, media and content production company.



 It has 11 awesome politically charge, heart popping hardcore rock tracks. The lead single, "Reap", was released to radio stations on March 24, 2011 and later released on iTunes on April 26. Two other tracks from the album, "Salvation" and "Fall from Grace", were released on YouTube on May 24. "Dive Too Deep," the second single off the album, and "Dreams" were released through GRAMMY.com and Rolling Stone Magazine, respectively, on July 27.

Three years since their last full album, the band got together with John Feldmann of Goldfinger (The Used, Story of the Year, Plain White T's, Good Charlotte among others), to produce a new song which organically led to him producing the full album. The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie by Red Hot Chili Peppers

The first single from the upcoming Red Hot Chili Peppers album I'm with You, is "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie", which will be released on August 26, 2011 in multiple European countries and in the United States four days later. It is their first single released since "Hump de Bump" in 2007 and the first single released with new guitarist, Josh Klinghoffer. The single was released to radio on July 15, 2011, three days earlier than expected due to an accidental leak. The digital download was made available on July 18 while the CD single was released four days later. The music video was released on August 17, 2011. The song reached number one on the Billboard Rock Songs chart in its fourth week on the chart. On August 10, 2011, the song became the band's record holding 12th number one single on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.



On June 23, 2011 it was announced that hip hop artist, Kreayshawn was picked to direct the music video. Kreayshawn told MTV that she was shocked when the band's label contacted her management about directing the video. She said she went to film school but never thought it would translate to something this big.

On July 30, 2011, the band took to the rooftop of a building in Venice Beach, CA to shoot a second version of the music video with director Marc Klasfeld.

The video was released on August 17, 2011 through MTV.com and the band's website. MTV aired the United States television premiere of the video on the same date at 7:53pm Eastern Standard Time which was followed by a live Q&A with the band answering fan questions through Twitter on MTV.com.

Music Matters: No To Piracy Campaign

Since they first started recording in 1960's Liverpool, The Beatles have inspired thousands of artists. More than 50 years later, their music still has the power to unite millions of fans all over the world. Music by The Beatles is being used to bring a new campaign aimed at fighting illegal downloads to life.



The legendary group, instrumental in the global explosion of 1960s pop culture, is providing the soundtrack to a short film designed to raise awareness of how to consume music responsibly.

The animated film follows the life of a central character, looking at how he grew up listening to The Beatles and how it has marked the various milestones in his life.

The Why Music Matters campaign believes if there is not a sustainable system in place through the sale of music, that supported and allowed people to have a career, bands like The Beatles may never had existed.
The campaign, which was started in 2010, has already received a high level of support from the music industry.Cee Lo Green, Ellie Goulding, Dizzie Rascal and Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon voiced their support during the 2011 Brit Awards
